Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ST3 Consulting LLC ("ST3 Consulting," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit st3consulting.com, contact us, or use our backflow prevention testing services. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

Information you provide

  • Contact and quote requests — your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of any message you send us through our contact form or by phone or email.
  • Service sign-up and account details — your name, service and billing address, phone number, property and device information, and the service option you select.
  • Test and compliance records — information about your backflow assemblies and the results of the tests we perform, which we maintain as part of your service history.

Payment information

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our own systems. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Information collected automatically

  • Log data — standard server logs such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, used to operate and secure the site.
  • Cookies — we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to maintain your session and protect forms against abuse). We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide quotes;
  • To schedule, perform, and document your backflow testing, repairs, or subscription services;
  • To file required compliance reports with your water purveyor and applicable authorities;
  • To process payments and manage your account;
  • To send you service-related communications, such as scheduling and reminder notices;
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website and services; and
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our services:

  • Water purveyors and regulators — we submit test results and compliance reports to your local water purveyor and to South Carolina DHEC as required by law.
  • Service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate, such as our payment processor (Stripe), hosting provider, and scheduling tools, who may process information on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.

Data retention

We keep test and compliance records for as long as needed to meet regulatory recordkeeping requirements and to maintain your service history. Contact-form messages and account information are kept for as long as your relationship with us is active and as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and processing payments through a PCI-compliant provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
  • You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time; we will still send you communications necessary to deliver services you have requested.
  • You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some site features may not work properly.
